St. Paul's Youth

Our Youth Group for young people in Grades 7-12 will be back in action this summer.  Team leaders are Bill Wearing and Martina Rohde. The following events are being planned. Dates and locations to be announced soon. Contact the church office for further details.

Young Adults

Our young adults plan several special events each year including a ski retreat in the winter months. We're expecting some announcements shortly about events for fall 2011.

2012 District Youth Gathering - Dates Set!

• Where: Calgary, Alberta (Foothills Lutheran Church and the University of Calgary)
• When: Thursday, July 12 to Sunday, July 15, 2012
• Who: Youth and their leaders (at least 1 leader for every 7 youth)
• Why: To build relationships with God and other Lutherans!

Registration information will be available in early 2012; please make plans to attend! We'll be checking out the Calgary Stampede in addition to games, music, sessions with speakers, servant opportunities, small group discussions, games and fun!

 National Youth Gathering 2013

The countdown clock for Lutheran Church-Canada's 2013 National Youth Gathering began ticking as the organizing committee held its first meeting July 25-27 in Winnipeg.

Under the leadership of Deacon Michael Gillingham (DPS, Bethel Sherwood Park, Alta.) the volunteer committee discussed location, theme, potential speakers and how the Gathering will integrate with a national 25th anniversary outreach convocation for Lutheran Church-Canada.

Since the district rotation for the youth gathering brings the triennial event to the Central District and Winnipeg hosted LCC's founding convention in 1988, the city will host both the gathering and anniversary convocation at the University of Manitoba and area hotels.

The youth gathering will run from Thursday, July 4 to Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
